Al Varney has an outstanding global leadership track record and deep cross-functional experience, having held CEO and President positions with Xerox in Canada, the United States and Western Europe. He is currently the President of PowerOn Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation.
Al was the CEO of Xerox Canada, with full P&L responsibility and accountable for financial performance, sales results, growth plans and product and services offerings. During his tenure, Al enhanced Xerox Canada’s services portfolio by expanding digitization services, and managed profitability through a time of massive currency volatility.
Previously Al was President of North, South and Central Europe for Xerox—responsible for leading the growth of both profit and revenue in fourteen European countries. His 33-year career with Xerox also includes serving as Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Strategy and Sales Operations, President of US Channels Group and Senior Vice President of United States Large Enterprise Operations.
Throughout his career, Al has developed successful methodologies for building performance cultures, evaluating and maximizing leadership talent, and ensuring excellence in operational execution.
