As an active Member of CEO Global Network since 2017, François has experienced the value of peer learning and CEO mentorship firsthand.
François is an accomplished business leader with a long and successful career. From 2014 to 2022, François served as CEO of CIMA+, a consulting engineering firm with over 2,800 employees and 30 offices across Canada. During his leadership tenure, CIMA+ doubled in size—becoming the second largest privately-owned engineering firm in Canada. Previous positions at CIMA+ include Chair of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice-President, and Canadian Transportation Vice President.
François believes in robust corporate governance, and has been a member of the Concordia University Dean’s advisory committee, a Board member with ACEC Canada, Chair of AQTR, a member of “Le Cercle des présidents du Québec”, Chair of the Laval Board of Trade, a Board member with Centraide of Greater Montreal (United Way), a Board member with La Maison du Père, and a corporate member of the Charles Bruneau Foundation.
A dedicated leader and strong advocate for integrity and ethical behaviour in business; François received the 2019 Beaubien Award from ACEC Canada in recognition of his significant contribution to the advancement of the Consulting Engineering profession and industry. He has also been awarded a Fellowship from the Canadian Society of Civil Engineers, and received the Joseph Hode-Keyser Award from the Quebec Transportation Association.
François has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Concordia University and a certificate in Professional Development Leadership from Harvard Business School.
François and his family live in the greater Montreal area.
