Howard Eng

Howard had a distinguished career in the Canadian and international aviation industry, both in the government and private sector.  From 2012 to 2020, he was the President & CEO of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA).  GTAA manages and operates Toronto Pearson International Airport, the largest airport in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

Prior to leading the GTAA, Howard was the Executive Director – Airport Operations of the Hong Kong International Airport,  one of the busiest airports in the world.  It is world renowned for efficiency, high calibre retail offerings and superior customer service.

He has received over 44 awards for his achievements in the aviation industry including the Ontario Chamber of Commerce CEO of the Year in 2020.  He was also named Director of the Year in the large airports category by Airport Experience News in 2019 and in 2018 received the Excellence in Visionary Leadership Award from Airports Council International North America.

He is currently on the Board of the Edmonton Regional Airport Authority and Trillium Health Partners.

He received both his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) from the University of Alberta.

Howard and his family live in Toronto.
